Yes, it sounds like more of the same, but the investigation and the story development through the perception and emotions of others make this a unique and enjoyable experience.
The pacing is also off – nothing big happens until the end, and the only thing that choices seem to affect is the romance option. The game manages to feel both too slow and too rushed at the same time. That has to be an achievement. However problematic, the True Colors can be enjoyable on occasion.
Fortunately, this DLC is a ton of fun thanks to the deeper characterization of one of True Colors' best characters. Steph is a ton of fun to play as and the story is quite meaty.
