The GTI is quick and a good spec. The GTD has amazing torque and is a lot of fun. In general diesels do need to be driven and are better for high mileage users. If you don’t drive diesels enough the diesel filter DPF can get blocked up and can be expensive to fix. Driving hard clears out the filter and your Saturday drive may be ok.
